Gift bag made out of sustainable Paptic® material strengthens Jacob’s Creek Double Barrell Shiraz’s visibility in shelf
For holiday season 2021 Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz red wine will be packaged into a gift bag made of the sustainable Paptic® material. Above all the durable and recyclable bag offers the consumer ease of buying, when the wine can be bought already gift packaged. The new bag is available in Alko stores in Finland from November 8th onwards.

We packaged Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz red wine into a stylish gift bag, which is perfectly in line with the high quality product, says Kaisa Kavekari, brand manager from Pernod Ricard Finland and continues: – the design of the bag is by the Finnish design agency Packdesign ID, who are responsible for this outstanding end result.
Typically gift packaging for wine is a cardboard box, but now for the first time in Alko there is a product that comes pre-packaged into a gift bag. For the consumer this offers both a lighter, sustainable packaging solution as well as ease of buying, when there is no reason to acquire a separate gift bag.
The gift bag is made out of Paptic®, a material made out of renewable materials, and it contains 30% less material than the more commonly used cardboard box. The material is durable enough to be reusable as well as easily recyclable at the end of its life cycle, and can withstand moisture better than paper, for instance.
